Job Responsibilities

About the Position

The Project Manager, Patient Engagement will provide technical, project, and operational expertise to support strategies across multiple aspects of clinical programs, which may include site training, patient enrollment (recruitment and retention), and patient and researcher engagement activities (insights, education, and feedback). This exciting opportunity involves partnering across multiple functions to support key deliverables and drive successful execution of patient-focused initiatives within clinical development programs.

The Project Manager, Patient Engagement will:

• Support the established strategy for assigned areas of focus, including site training, patient enrollment (recruitment and retention), and/or patient and researcher engagement (insights, education, and feedback).
• Partner with program leads and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives from planning and timeline development through execution and follow-up.
• Support the creation of project deliverables, including training and educational materials, by coordinating timelines, facilitating review meetings, and distributing outputs to stakeholders.
• Support internal systems and communications throughout project execution.
• Understand and maintain key platforms and systems that support patient engagement initiatives.
• Upload and maintain eTMF records in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to continuously improve standards, processes, tools, and best practices.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with external stakeholders, including clinical trial participants and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
• Coordinate activities with external vendors, patients, and healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to a team culture recognized for strategic thinking and technical leadership.
• Provide technical support to ensure engagement processes are effectively integrated across functions.
• Support the delivery of practical, scalable strategies that can be successfully implemented within clinical programs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, healthcare, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or clinical research industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• General understanding of clinical trial or protocol design and its impact on site and participant experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results against timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and lead toward shared objectives.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of identifying process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment, both in person and virtually.
• Willingness to travel up to 30-40%.

Salary Range:

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
