Production Test Technician
Newton, Cambridge
The Production Technician, based in Newton, Cambridge UK, is responsible for assembling and testing product to a high standard as documented in relevant procedures, documents and drawings.
Primary Responsibilities:
To assemble and test electronic assemblies to a high standard, meeting production schedule requirements.
Maintain concise test and production records.
Good attention to detail.
Support the production Engineering Team with the validation of assembly and Test processes as and when required.
Support the training of production operators.
To maintain a clean and safe working environment. Ensure safe working practices to allow the site to function efficiently and comply with safety legislation.
Work as part of a great team by supporting all functions within the department to ensure our customers’ needs are consistently met.
Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies:
PC literacy with Excel & Word
GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Math’s
Good communication skills and written English.
Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
Good time management and organizational skills
Advantage:
Relevant experience in a product manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of PCB assembly and fault finding.
Ability to solder to J-STD-001 and inspect to IPC 610 class 3.
Knowledge of IPC and ISO Standards.
Pro-active in work approach and ability to escalate promptly through the correct channels.
Highly flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi-task and grow within a fast-working environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to focus on detail.
Passionate & ambitious, taking pride in the job at hand.
Committed to company policy, procedures & core values.
