Production Technician (Finished Product IPT)

Help ensure vaccine products are packed, stored and handled safely and compliantly
We’re looking for a Finished Product IPT (Integrated Process Team) Production Technician to join our Manufacturing team at our Upper Hutt site.
This is a hands-on role focused primarily on packing operations, with additional support across warehouse and Gamma activities as needed. Working in a GMP environment, you’ll play an important part in helping ensure vaccine products are packed, stored and handled safely, accurately and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
Packing operations
Operate packing lines in line with GMP and approved SOPs
Complete machine changeovers and basic setup tasks
Accurately complete batch records and production documentation
Review, update and author SOPs, batch records and worksheets within required timeframes
Support change proposals and document/process updates in line with Change Control requirements
Warehouse & Gamma support
Support warehouse activities including inbound and outbound goods, material movements and stock control
Assist with Gamma plant operations as required
Operate forklifts safely and compliantly, and reach trucks where licensed
Complete required training to support work in the Gamma area
Maintain high standards of housekeeping across packing, warehouse and Gamma areas
Quality, compliance & improvement
Support investigations, deviations and continuous improvement activities
Use process knowledge and problem-solving skills to help investigate deviations thoroughly
Communicate clearly with team members and other departments to support schedules, documentation flow and issue resolution
Identify, document and control hazards and environmental aspects in line with EHS requirements
Work safely and help maintain a strong safety culture across the department
What You Must Have
Experience & skills
Practical experience in manufacturing and/or warehousing environments
Understanding of GMP is preferred
Strong computer skills across Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP
Good written communication skills and numeracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and build strong working relationships
Experience writing technical reports or deviation investigations is preferred
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Machine setting experience and good mechanical aptitude
Forklift licence required; reach truck endorsement highly desirable
Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 25kg
