<p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Work Schedule</b></u></p>Third Shift (Nights)<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Environmental Conditions</b></u></p>Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b><u>Job Description</u></b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>3rd Shift Hours: Sunday Night - Friday Morning 11pm - 7am</b></p><p><b>Overtime/ on call support as needed</b></p><p></p><h2>The Impact You’ll Make in this Role</h2><p>The Production Supervisor ensures manufacturing operations prioritize safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement.</p><p></p><p>This position will also expand supervisory coverage for 24/7 operations, including weekend coverage as needed.</p><p></p><h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2><p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li><p>Ensuring a safe working environment by modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe practices, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring accurate work methods and equipment use.</p></li><li><p>Providing direct supervision to production hourly employees.</p></li><li><p>Handling shift administrative activities such as time and absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, and overtime.</p></li><li><p>Reviewing employees&#39; performance and providing valuable input.</p></li><li><p>Driving continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, quality, and cost.</p></li><li><p>Planning daily work schedules, settling priorities, allocating work assignments, and supervising production processes to meet specific requirements.</p></li><li><p>Championing lean manufacturing efforts and projects.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Required Qualifications:</h2><ul><li><p>High School Diploma or GED</p></li><li><p>Minimum of three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment</p></li><li><p>Minimum of one (1) year supervisory and/or people leadership experience</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree</p></li><li><p>Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing (cGMP, ISO 13485)</p></li><li><p>Ability to drive and inspire change and lead cross-functional teams</p></li><li><p>Training and/or experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Additional Details</h2><ul><li><p>Location: Meriden, CT</p></li><li><p>Travel: May include up to 5%</p></li><li><p><span>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States <span>without sponsorship.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span>Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><span>At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 140,000&#43; extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
