Perform routine product assembly operations including bonding, potting, epoxy mixing, soldering, wiring, lensing, and installation of plastic and metal components.
Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, method sheets, and established work instructions to assemble products according to documented manufacturing and quality standards.
Handle small, delicate components with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other manufacturing assembly equipment.
Operate and maintain assembly workstations and automatic or semi-automatic production equipment as required.
Assemble, align, adjust, and inspect fabricated parts, components, and subassemblies according to specifications and established manufacturing procedures.
Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and verify assemblies to ensure products meet specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
Repair or rework parts and assemblies that do not meet testing or quality requirements, as needed.
Maintain accurate production and assembly records in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and work practices to maintain a safe work environment.
Support cross-training and assist in other production areas, including Wiring, Epoxy, and Final Assembly/Lensing, as business needs require.
General office/manufacturing environment.
Potential exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.
High School diploma or GED
Basic computer proficiency and ability to enter accurate data.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods and perform work using a microscope.
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Flexibility to support changing business needs and work overtime as required.
Microsoft Office experience.
Strong hand-eye coordination while working under a microscope.
Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
