It monitors the preparation and movement of raw materials and product quality. Coordinates personnel in charge.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>FLSA Status</b><br /> Salary Exempt<br /><b>Reports To</b><br /> Operations Manager<br /><b>Education/Experience</b><br /> Two year degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent experience preferred<br /><b>Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies</b><br /> Able to effectively supervise and manage people<br /> Strong background in manufacturing processes<br /> Ability to lift 50 pounds<br /> Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hours or more), frequent bending and twisting<br /> Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer<br /> Excellent problem solving skills<br /> Able to deal with stressful situations in a calm and controlled manner<br /> Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and engineering drawings<br /> Must understand the proper use and the limitations of standard inspection measuring and test equipment<br /> Good interpersonal communication skills<br /> Must have vision correctable to 20/20<br /> Ability to distinguish color<br /> Basic computer skills<br /><b>Responsibility/Authority</b><br /> Provide supervision and management in all areas of production during assigned shift<br /> Responsible for employee safety<br /> Ensure product quality and production output for all employees<br /> Employee training as needed<br /> Set high standards, provide strong leadership and coaching to direct reports<br /> Promote a team based environment, positive atmosphere, open door policy and harassment-free environment<br /> Ensure personnel are qualified prior to allowing them to perform operations<br /> Delegate to appropriate personnel, ensuring decisions are made at the appropriate level<br /> Support plant goals and objectives<br /> Initiate cost reduction programs through effective problem solving and process improvement efforts<br /> Safety advocate, promoting and enforcing safety standards<br /> Perform annual employee reviews and make personnel recommendations<br /> Ensure the quality of PE products meets or exceeds customer requirements<br /> Attend routine meetings to discuss quality system and production related issues<br /> Ensure compliance with ISO and FDA regulations<br /> Support Material Review Board as needed<br /> Coordinate emergency response activities on assigned shift<br /> Handle discipline issues as needed and communicate issues to Group Lead and Human Resources<br /> Train employees as needed<br /><b>Supervisory Responsibilities</b><br /> All production staff on designated shift</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>Hours for this role are 1:30pm-10:30pm Monday - Friday</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, <span>candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes</span> as permitted or required by applicable law</span>.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
