Product Manager - Device Cloud Platform (IoT)

You'll own product initiatives from discovery through delivery, partnering closely with engineering, architecture, and device product teams to solve complex challenges that scale across multiple products and markets. What You'll Do

• Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success measures that guide the delivery of scalable platform capabilities.
• Lead discovery activities to identify platform opportunities, customer needs, and operational challenges that improve how connected devices perform and evolve.
• Translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable initiatives that help engineering teams deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently.
• Own assigned platform capabilities across areas such as device connectivity, telemetry, remote software delivery, cloud services, device data, remote configuration, and fleet management.
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Use product, operational, and technical insights to inform decisions, prioritise investments, and improve platform performance.
• Manage backlogs, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones to ensure initiatives achieve agreed business and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, clinical, quality, regulatory, operations, procurement, and finance teams to drive alignment and execution.
• Communicate priorities, progress, decisions, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Experience in product management, product development, or a related technical or commercial discipline.
• Experience working with technical products, cloud services, digital platforms, connected products, or IoT solutions.
• Ability to translate customer, business, and technical needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
• Strong analytical thinking and confidence using data, operational insights, and business context to support product decisions.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for understanding complex technical systems and how they create value for customers.
• A degree in engineering, computer science, data science, business, health sciences, or a related field is valued but not required.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with connected devices, device ecosystems, or IoT platforms.
• Experience in healthcare, medical technology, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with cloud-based products, platform strategy, or software delivery practices.

Location: San Diego, California (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid position and is not a remote role. Team members are expected to be based in the San Diego area and available to work on-site regularly to support collaboration, planning, and innovation.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.   

At Resmed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is: $124,000 - $155,000 USD.
