We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Associate Director, Product Line Lead for the Compliance product line.
As a key member of our Legal, Compliance & Security Value Team within the Information Technology (IT) division, this role is responsible for overseeing and driving the development and success of technology solutions for the Ethics & Compliance Office (ECO) (the “business”).
The Compliance product line currently includes the following products: Privacy Management, Antibribery & Corruption, Global Trade Compliance, Policy Management, and Research Compliance.
The Product Line Lead serves as a trusted partner and primary IT point of contact for the business, making connections with appropriate internal and external technology service areas and ensuring effective solution delivery and support. They own end-to-end responsibility for all the products in the product line - including strategy, roadmap, business case development, stakeholder communication, total cost of ownership, user satisfaction, product quality, and realizing measurable outcomes.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of compliance needs, proven leadership skills, strong customer service mindset, and passion for delivering and supporting innovative solutions that bring value to the business.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for the Compliance product line, in alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives
Conduct market research and stay updated on compliance industry trends and emerging technologies, to drive innovation, improve user experience, and ensure our products are robust, secure, reliable, and relevant
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the business, enterprise architecture, engineering, external service providers, and others to define product requirements and ensure successful product launches and updates
Lead the product development lifecycle from conception to launch, while working closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
Coordinate work across the products within the product line to strategically align with business outcomes
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business, to understand their needs, pain points, and objectives
Act as a trusted advisor to internal customers, providing expert guidance on compliance product offerings and enterprise capabilities, maximizing value, and helping the business achieve their goals by leveraging digital and data
Conduct regular meetings with customers to gather feedback, understand their evolving requirements, and identify areas for improvement or opportunities for new product development
Manage and lead a matrixed team of product managers, project managers, business analysts, software engineers, testing & validation resources, and other specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure outstanding levels of performance and drive their professional growth
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, high customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement within the product team and across cross-functional teams
Coach others to enhance their product skills and collaborate with other leaders to share best practices
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of compliance products with other product offerings
Proactively define and monitor measures and key performance indicators to determine the value being delivered, drive growth, and increase operational efficiency, value, and customer satisfaction
Manage and measure the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the product line and make informed decisions that will lead to TCO optimization
Ensure financial and governance reporting, issue, risk, status communication to all stakeholders is timely, complete, and accurate
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer feedback to ensure our products meet compliance standards, adapting strategies as needed
Qualifications
Required
Proven record of successfully launching and managing technology solutions, ideally within compliance domains
Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and customers
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and to be the translator who bridges the communication gap between technologists and business subject matter experts
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, including navigating across conflicting priorities to balance critical, tactical, and strategic needs
Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach, capable of making informed decisions based on research, customer feedback, and product performance metrics
Experienced with business case development and financial modeling, including articulating clear business outcomes and quantifiable value drivers
5+ years managing and/or development of systems
5+ years leading and managing internal and external resources, with or without direct reporting authority. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams, drive change, and foster collaboration.
Experience managing third party technology service providers
Experience working with compliance stakeholders, processes, and activities
Preferred
Strong understanding of compliance requirements, regulations, and industry best practices
Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or equivalent approaches, including authoring required documentation
Experience with Agile teams and frameworks
Degree with concentration in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
