Product Engineer I

<div class="content-intro"><p>At Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses.</p></div><p>Under the supervision of more experienced personnel, this person will contribute to the sustaining efforts related to our existing products and/or the development of new products.</p> <p><strong>Accountabilities & Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Complete manufacturing and design engineering tasks needed to support larger scale projects</li> <li>Contribute to technology development by prototyping and testing new design concepts</li> <li>Update component/assembly drawings and production DHF as needed to support design transfers</li> <li>Create design documentation under the supervision of a more senior engineer</li> <li>Write and execute test plans</li> <li>Complete process development engineering tasks for new product design transfers</li> <li>Write, update, and perform process and design validations</li> <li>Write engineering reports</li> <li>Develop and maintain work instructions for manufacturing processes</li> <li>Train production team on new and updated work instructions</li> <li>Respond to the needs of production through action</li> <li>Review and disposition NCMRs generated in operations</li> <li>Execute equipment specification documentation and create system setup for new equipment and equipment updates<br>Navigate and work within QMS systems<br>• Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education & Experience</strong><br>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline</li> <li>0-2 years of work experience in a related field<br>Preferred:</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge & Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, etc.)</li> <li>Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills to clearly articulate concepts</li> <li>Ability to work cross-functionally to solve technical problems</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines</li> <li>Ability to make timely decisions based on stakeholder input and engineering fundamentals</li> <li>Organization and prioritization skills – adaptable to changing business needs and adept at juggling numerous projects</li> <li>Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical abilities</li> <li>A passion for continuous learning</li> <li>Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members</li> </ul> <p><strong>Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>Action Orientated</li> <li>Influencing</li> <li>Flexible</li> <li>Functional/Technical Skills</li> <li>Teamwork</li> <li>Communication</li> <li>Process oriented</li> <li>Priority Setting</li> <li>Peer Relationships</li> <li>Problem Solving</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Our total compensation package includes medical, dental and vision benefits, retirement benefits, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, parental leave, family medical leave, volunteer time off and additional leave programs, life insurance, disability coverage, and other life and work wellness benefits and discounts.
