Job Description
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
The Product Engineer will be responsible for receiving, evaluating, cleaning, and customizing all technical information / documentation from the customer related to their product (Data center raks among others), derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity.
What a typical day looks like:
Handle product transfer and new product set up.
Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield.
Solve product related problems and perform failure evaluation related to product issues.
Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues.
Suggest modification to work instructions, material, or product changes to ensure excellent quality of products.
Customer´s Bill of Material (BOM) evaluation and structure definition for production
Functional Product Documentation review
Safety Requirements and regulations compliance identification
Engineering Drawings Interpretation of parts and assemblies.
Request customer for drawing corrections, additions, clarification, measurements methods
Manage Engineering Changes Implementation
Provide support to supply chain to integrate parts derived from the vertical integration or localization effort
Provide product training to the manufacturing/process engineers for better understanding of the product.
Training team members on technical skills.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Consistent experience in similar role within Manufacturing industry; Engineering changes BOM creation, AML Validation; approved manufacturing list.
Drawing interpretation and Data sheets processing.
Knowledge of NPI and product transfers would be a plus.
English communication without problems to speak.
