In this role, you'll lead complex category strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver continuous improvement in spend management. You'll develop and execute 3-5 year sourcing strategies, negotiate strategic contracts, and build strong supplier relationships that drive value through quality, cost optimization, and innovation. Working closely with Division Business Partners, Quality, Operations, R&D, and Business leaders, you'll ensure category strategies align with organizational objectives while building organizational strength through mentoring and developing procurement talent.<br /><br /><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><p><br />• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in procurement/sourcing in matrix organizations with increasing responsibilities<br />• Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related technical field<br /><i>• Professional certifications preferred (CPSM, PMP, Six Sigma)</i><br />• 3+ years of people management experience leading and developing procurement teams<br />• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and category management principles<br />• Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings targets<br />• Experience working in highly regulated industries, preferably life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical<br />• Strong negotiation and contract management skills<br />• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple regions<br />• Strong analytical and financial capabilities to assess market dynamics and business requirements<br />• Experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership<br />• Proficiency with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office suite<br />• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies<br />• Strong communication and presentation skills<br />• Ability to travel 25-50% as required<br />• Multi-cultural experience preferred<br />• Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial</p><h2></h2><h2></h2><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><h2><b>WE OFFER:</b></h2><p></p><p>We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus scheme, healthcare, company pension, and a range of employee benefits!</p><p>Thermo Fisher Scientific offers employment with an innovative, forward-thinking organization, and outstanding career and development prospects.
