What will you do?
As an Analyst in the Lenders Team within the Private Equity Intelligence group, you will play a key role in building and scaling Gain’s global lenders and private credit data offering. You will work across direct lending, broadly syndicated loans (BSL), business development companies (BDCs), middle-market lending, and other credit instruments, combining financial research and data analysis to build accurate, comprehensive, and scalable datasets.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Research and maintain lender, credit, borrower, and financing data across global private credit and leveraged finance markets.
• Analyze lender portfolios and credit facilities, including debt quantum, pricing, spreads, reference rates, maturity, issuance dates, loan types, and other key credit terms.
• Research and extract credit information from annual reports, regulatory filings, company websites, lender disclosures, SEC filings, and other financial sources.
• Support the extraction and validation of BDC, BSL, middle-market loan, and corporate bond data.
• Support fund and strategy mapping, including linking credits and assets to relevant lending strategies and funds where applicable.
• Work closely with the Product and Tech teams to identify data and product improvements and help translate research requirements into scalable solutions.
• Use AI and GenAI tools to accelerate credit research, document extraction, entity identification and data validation. Experiment with prompts and workflows to improve research efficiency and quality and help identify opportunities to automate repetitive lender and credit-data tasks.
• Use financial markets and credit knowledge to support Junior Analysts with complex queries, research decisions, and data-quality questions.
