You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.The Principal Training/Education Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering world-class education programs for practicing electrophysiologists, EP fellows and healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) technologies. This role drives clinical adoption by creating impactful learning experiences that align with business strategies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Acting as a strategic advisor and collaborator, the specialist partners with CAS leadership and cross-functional teams to advance clinician knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
This position will be based in Mounds View, MN.
A Day in the Life:
Develop and execute training and education programs for medical professionals on CAS technologies to support adoption in treating atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias
Partner with CAS leaders, including the Chief Medical Officer, to design, review, deliver and evaluate HCP learning pathways
Identify and implement enhancements to improve clinician experience, expand program reach, and increase the impact of CAS education initiatives
Serve as an advisor to the field organization by assessing HCP learning needs and providing tailored educational solutions
Provide feedback and coaching to clinicians and Medtronic faculty delivering education content, ensuring adherence to approved indications and compliance standards
Collaborate with cross functional teams (Clinical, Marketing, Sales) to execute training programs aligned with business strategies and regulatory, quality, and business conduct standards
Coordinate with meeting planners to ensure seamless execution of logistical details for in-person and virtual programs
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapies, products and business strategies
Ensure compliance with all Medtronic processes and policies, including applicable quality systems
Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
Work independently with limited supervision, adapting to changing priorities and requirements
Travel requirement <30%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in medical education, clinical training, or related field; or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
Proven ability to design and deliver education programs for healthcare professionals
Strong knowledge of electrophysiology and cardiac ablation therapies
Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
Experience working with EP fellows programs or electrophysiology training programs
Experience in cardiac mapping and navigation systems
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in medical education
Advanced degree in healthcare, education, or related disciplines
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
