Description
<p>JOB PURPOSE:</p><p><span>1) </span>Driving strategic planning initiatives, optimizing business operations, and leading new product planning activities for Sanofi's General Medicines portfolio in China. This position serves as a strategic partner to the General Manager and cross-functional leadership team, providing analytical insights, business intelligence, and operational excellence to achieve business objectives and sustainable growth in the dynamic Chinese pharmaceutical market.</p><p><span>2) </span>The successful candidate will bridge strategy and execution, ensuring alignment between corporate objectives and local market realities while driving innovation in product planning and launch excellence.</p><p>SUPERVISED RESOURCES:</p><p>2 direct reports</p><p>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p><p>1) Strategic Planning & Business Analysis</p><p>• Work with GenMED China GM to develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans for GenMED China, aligning with global and regional strategies while addressing local market dynamics</p><p>• Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive intelligence, and trend identification to inform strategic decision-making</p><p>• Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support business planning and resource allocation</p><p>• Prepare executive-level presentations and strategic recommendations for senior leadership and global stakeholders</p><p>• Monitor business performance against strategic objectives and KPIs, providing regular insights and course corrections</p><p></p><p>2) New Product Planning (NPP) & Launch Excellence</p><p>• Working with BU and BD in new product planning activities for GenMED pipeline products in China, from pre-launch through commercialization</p><p>• Coordinate cross-functional NPP teams including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations</p><p>• Work with BU and BD to donduct product feasibility assessments, market sizing, and commercial viability analyses</p><p></p><p>3) Business Operations & Process Optimization</p><p>• Drive operational excellence across GenMED China business operations, identifying and implementing process improvements</p><p>• Lead business planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation</p><p>• Optimize cross-functional workflows and collaboration mechanisms to enhance organizational effectiveness</p><p>• Implement best practices in project management, change management, and business process design</p><p>• Support business transformation initiatives and digital innovation projects</p><p>• Ensure data integrity and analytical rigor in all business operations activities</p><p></p><p>4) Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management</p><p>• Build and maintain strong relationships with global, regional, and local stakeholders across functions</p><p>• Facilitate cross-functional alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives</p><p>• Lead strategic projects and task forces, coordinating diverse teams to achieve common objectives</p><p>• Communicate strategic priorities and business insights effectively across all organizational levels</p><p>• Partner with Finance, Commercial, Medical, and other functions to ensure integrated business planning</p><p></p><p>JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:</p><p>Education:</p><p>• Minimum bachelor degree, MBA is preferred</p><p>• Major in medical or related medicine science is preferred</p><p></p><p>Experience & knowledge:</p><p>• Experience in Marketing Research in the pharmaceutical industry or in a consultative environment</p><p>• Experienced in the field of Cardiovascular business in pharmaceutical industry is preferred</p><p>• Preferred background in management consulting, strategy, with good knowledge about Pharma industry in China and global wise</p><p>• Strong in project management, experienced in managing cross-functional project teams.</p><p>• Experienced in Marketing, and preferred to have exposure in NPP including lifecycle management for established and new products</p><p>• Strategic thinking – including business case development; Scenario planning; Strategic prioritization; Long-term portfolio roadmap planning</p><p>• Good communication and influencing skills in a matrix organization with stakeholders from local and global</p><p>• Good analytical skills, able to generate insights</p><p>• Ability to connect with people including ability to drive execution and follow-ups in a very supportive way.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h1>Pursue <i>progress</i>, discover <i>extraordinary</i></h1><p>Better is out there.
