By blending people-centric leadership with disciplined operational strategies and purpose-driven growth, Barry-Wehmiller has become a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.  Job Description:<div><div>Direct and lead a team of associates who receive, identify, store and deliver a wide variety of raw material and manufactured or purchased parts for additional processing, assembly, machining, or direct shipment.<h2>Key Responsibilities/Complexities:</h2><ul><li>Coordinate and manage daily and on-going stores activities; primary contact concerning stores issues.</li><li>Lead team of personnel who receive, identify, issue, store, or kit materials and parts.</li><li>Develop stores area standards and processes based on improvement opportunities or quality/cost concerns.</li><li>Provide support for operations in safety, quality, performance, and productivity improvement opportunities.</li><li>Proactively engage the assembly team leaders to eliminate trending issues and concerns affecting the customer.</li><li>Analyze current state processes for internal and external customer support and develop plans to address areas of need.</li><li>Develop and oversee relevant KPls, develop a plan of action to correct any missed opportunities.</li><li>Coordinate and direct projects to support improvement activities.</li><li>Support a culture of continuous improvement by assisting with development and coaching of associates and team leaders on continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Competencies:</div> <div><ul><li>Must be able to perform all level IV skills competently and consistently</li><li>Oral and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to perform arithmetic</li><li>Experience with shipping notices, packing lists and assembly prints</li><li>Interpersonal skills</li><li>Team oriented</li><li>Ability to understand and follow directions</li><li>Clerical skills</li><li>Ability to multi-task</li><li>Ability to operate various materials handling equipment</li><li>Leadership skills</li></ul><h2>Supervisory Responsibility:</h2>Reports to varies by location; this role has direct reports and supervisory responsibility.<h2>Work Environment:</h2>Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.<h2>Physical Demands:</h2>Physical effort is required to handle tools/materials and perform shipping/receiving operations. The employee may be required to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and greater than 50 pounds with assistance. Mental and visual attention is necessary to perform various duties requiring constant alertness and activity.<h2>Safety:</h2>All safety regulations must be observed. All safety hazards must be reported to your direct supervisor or safety representative.Position Type:</div> <div><h2>This is a regular, full-time position with frequent overtime.
