OR Specialist

As an Operating Room Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert and product specialist responsible for surgical case coverage in the Operating Room during surgery. Responsibilities will include: Participating in preclinical animal studies and human clinical surgeries at Neuralink; Ensuring the surgical team follows strict aseptic techniques and guidelines, as needed; Anticipating the needs of the team members with respect to the requirements of a particular surgical procedure by reviewing surgery protocol preop and utilizing basic Operating Room role functionality; Overseeing, enforcing, and implementing safety procedures and protocol required in an OR environment; Collecting and compiling relevant surgical data for engineering and preclinical analytical review; Collaborating with surgeons and hospital staff supporting case coverage for clinical trials; Maintaining surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies; Completing end-of-day procedures, including restocking Operating Room as needed, cleaning instruments, and picking case carts; Providing feedback to design engineers at design-review level to ensure end-user feedback is captured.
