<h2>The Opportunity:</h2>Avantor is seeking an Operator at our Nusil site. This role will be a full-time position based in Carpinteria, CA. If you know packaging, operations, and/or manufacturing, let’s talk!What we’re looking for <ul><li>Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience: 1-2 years of experience in packaging or distribution. </li></ul><ul><li>Certification(s): None required. </li></ul><ul><li>Preferred Qualifications: </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in a chemical plant. </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding/familiarity with cGMP and RCRA training. </li></ul>How you will thrive and create an impact <ul><li>Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Comply with company standards and OSHA requirements.</li><li>Ensure the lines are set up and running to the production schedule in accordance with work orders. </li></ul><ul><li>Understand line and pump configuration and be able to clean and inspect lines as well as perform line changeovers as needed.</li><li>Perform prestart-up inspection on equipment and ensure that items that have failed checks are addressed. </li><li>Maintain manufacturing areas clean and organized.</li></ul><ul><li>Willing to multitask and be flexible.</li></ul><ul><li>Keep accurate production records. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with Supervisors and Maintenance Personnel to resolve equipment set-up and operations. </li></ul><ul><li>Work with the QA Dept to understand, recognize, and rectify quality issues.
