Essential Functions:
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
Maintains a clean work area and reports any safety hazards to the supervisor.
Participates in safety programs and initiatives throughout the plant.
Knows and observes all quality and GP standards.
Works efficiently and cooperates with supervision and other associates.
Sets up, debugs, adjusts, and operates equipment within specified ranges.
Performs change overs on equipment.
Performs quality inspections according to operational specifications for all operations performed.
Possesses working knowledge of current production reporting system and how it applies to all positions.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned including semi-annual extended maintenance.
Maintains and handles inventory as necessary.
Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Complies with all local, state, federal, and BD safety and environmental regulations, standards, and policies/procedures.
Complies with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
Minimum qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
High school diploma or GED
Preferred qualifications:
1 year of manufacturing experience.
Physical requirements:
Medium work – exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly.
Working conditions:
Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions.
Worker is subject to noise exposure, mechanical hazards, high heat, chemicals, and other industrial hazards associated with manufacturing.
