We are currently looking for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Malta. In this role, you will support employee health, safety, and wellbeing while ensuring compliance with occupational health standards.
You will collaborate with EHS, HR, and operational teams to deliver health surveillance, clinical care, and wellbeing initiatives, contributing to a safe and high-performing work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver occupational health surveillance programmes, including pre-employment and periodic health assessments
Provide support to the first aid team, who are trained to provide first aid to the employees on site
Identify workplace health risks and support risk assessments and preventative measures
Coordinate vaccination programmes and infection prevention activities
Support health promotion and wellbeing initiatives, including screenings and awareness campaigns
Provide mental health support and signpost employees to relevant services
Manage return-to-work and rehabilitation programmes
Maintain confidential medical records in line with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with EHS, HR, and external providers to ensure effective occupational health services
Support audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with valid professional registration
Experience in occupational health
Knowledge of workplace health, risk assessment, and health surveillance practices
Ability to work in a regulated environment and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proactive, organised, and solution-oriented mindset
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is €27,200.00 annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
