If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2>Job Summary</h2><div><div><p><span>To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an <b>NPI/TPI Buyer </b>located in<b> Milpitas, CA. </b></span></p><p></p><p><span>Reporting to the<b> Materials Manager </b>the <b>NPI/TPI Buyer, </b>will be purchasing coordination and implementation of ECO changes, new buy products, end-of-life products with suppliers in accordance with Customer specific requirements.</span></p></div></div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p></p><p><b>What a typical day looks like:</b></p><ul><li><p>Ensuring availability of parts for new products according to the required quality, delivery, and cost.</p></li><li><p>Supplier selection in line with local goals and policies.</p></li><li><p>Achieving continuous improvement in quality, delivery and costs of all purchased components and sub-assemblies.</p></li><li><p>Manage supplier relations.</p></li><li><p>Arrange correct documentation to ensure release of new product at each relevant milestone of the new product project.</p></li><li><p>Send out initial orders and requests for quotations (RFQ).</p></li><li><p>Maintenance the purchase price book and purchase orders in the system.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate supplier quotations and make agreements on pricing, delivery, quality, capacities, etc.</p></li><li><p>Organize and monitor initial samples.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and help the start-up phase of each new component or sub-assembly.</p></li><li><p>In case of quality problems negotiation with the competent manager or department.</p></li><li><p>Continuously improve the quality, integral cost and delivery of all parts.</p></li><li><p>Manage EOL parts.</p></li><li><p>Looking for cost reduction possibilities, improve PPV.</p></li><li><p>In charge of efficient communication flow about progress of every NPI/TPI/EOL/ECO related project within supply chain, CFT, and customer.</p></li><li><p>Coordination transfers of new products in accordance with Customer specific requirements.</p></li><li><p>Coordinating end-of-life process in accordance with Customer specific requirements (including minimizing obsolete, revaluation).</p></li><li><p>Coordinating verification of new MPN/Supplier on production (First Article Inspection - FAI procedure).</p></li><li><p>Purchasing material status for prototypes/pilots.</p></li><li><p>Managing changes in deliveries status via rescheduling rules with Customer and negotiating minimized impact for Flex excess.</p></li><li><p>Solving all material discrepancies related to parts delivered for prototypes/pilots with Customer.</p></li><li><p>Should be able to read technical documentation (including 3D specifications/drawings).</p></li><li><p>NPI - New Product Introduction (Flex site is the receiving site and the product has not been manufactured elsewhere in volume yet).</p></li><li><p>TPI - Transfer Product Introduction (Flex Site is either the receiving or transfer out site; and the product has been manufactured in Volume).</p></li><li><p>Monitoring of system accuracy in daily/weekly bases /General Item data/Item supplier information, Business Partner data, Data integrity, Data validation, System set up.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>The experience we’re looking to add to our team, </b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.</p></li><li><p>3&#43;
