<p style="text-align:left"><b>Work Schedule</b></p>Standard (Mon-Fri)<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Environmental Conditions</b></p>Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b><u>Job Description</u></b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>The <b>NPI Sourcing Manager</b> enables successful new product introductions within the <b>Chemical Analysis Division</b> by leading sourcing activities that support on-time launch, cost targets, and long-term supply continuity. This role partners closely with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Operations to align sourcing strategies with CAD product roadmaps and operational priorities.</p><p>Category knowledge in <b>Particle Optics, mechanical components, Electronics, and Contract Manufacturing (CM)</b> is preferred. The ideal candidate brings strong sourcing fundamentals, technical curiosity, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions in a regulated manufacturing environment.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Lead NPI sourcing activities in support of <b>Chemical Analysis Division</b> programs and product development timelines</p></li><li><p>Partner with Engineering to influence <b>design-for-manufacturability, design-for-cost, and design-for-supply</b> decisions throughout the development lifecycle</p></li><li><p>Support supplier identification, capability assessment, and selection aligned with performance, quality, scalability, and risk objectives</p></li><li><p>Apply <b>cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and negotiation strategies</b> to support NPI cost targets and total cost of ownership goals</p></li><li><p>Coordinate supplier readiness activities, including tooling, qualification, PPAP/FAI, and production ramp planning</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory partners to ensure suppliers meet Thermo Fisher quality system, validation, and documentation requirements</p></li><li><p>Support <b>make-versus-buy decisions</b>, dual sourcing strategies, and supply risk mitigation planning</p></li><li><p>Serve as the sourcing representative on NPI core teams, providing clear and timely communication on progress, risks, and opportunities</p></li><li><p>Support the transition of suppliers from NPI into production sourcing while maintaining continuity and performance</p></li><li><p>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen sourcing processes, supplier capability, and cross-functional execution</p></li></ul><h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline</p></li><li><p>Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, or NPI-related roles</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrixed organization</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment</p></li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li><p>Category knowledge or sourcing experience in <b>Particle Optics, mechanical components, Electronics, or Contract Manufacturing</b></p></li><li><p>Experience supporting new product introductions in <b>analytical instruments, life sciences, diagnostics, or other regulated manufacturing environments</b></p></li><li><p>Familiarity with supplier qualification, validation, and quality system requirements</p></li><li><p>Experience working with global suppliers and cross-regional teams</p></li><li><p>APICS, CPSM, or similar professional certification</p></li></ul><h2>Key Competencies</h2><ul><li><p>Strategic sourcing and operational focus</p></li><li><p>Technical aptitude and learning mindset</p></li><li><p>Data-informed decision making</p></li><li><p>Clear, proactive communication</p></li><li><p>Continuous improvement orientation</p></li></ul><h2>What We Offer</h2><ul><li><p>Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits</p></li><li><p>Career development opportunities within the Chemical Analysis Division and across Thermo Fisher Scientific</p></li><li><p>A collaborative, inclusive culture grounded in integrity, intensity, involvement, and innovation</p></li><li><p>The opportunity to support products that help customers <b>make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer</b></p></li></ul><h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2><p>Thermo Fisher Scientific is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
