Conduct regular check-ins with each supervisor to review area performance and address concerns Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development to build supervisor capabilities.</li><li>Evaluate supervisor performance and provide constructive feedback.</li><li>Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and standards across all areas</li></ul><p><b>Production Oversight &amp; Coordination</b></p><ul><li>Monitor overall production performance, schedules, and output across all six areas.</li><li>Review area-specific metrics and KPIs reported by each supervisor.</li><li>Balance workload and resources across production areas to optimize efficiency</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional activities between production areas when needed.</li><li>Ensure seamless handoffs between day and night shift management through detailed reporting Make strategic decisions regarding production priorities and resource allocation.</li></ul><p><b>Problem Resolution &amp; Decision Making</b></p><ul><li>Serve as final decision authority for production-related issues during night shift.</li><li>Address complex operational challenges that supervisors escalate.</li><li>Remove barriers preventing supervisors from achieving their production goals.</li><li>Authorize production line stops, quality holds, or schedule adjustments when necessary.</li><li>Make real-time decisions to maintain production flow and meet customer commitments.</li></ul><p><b>Escalation Support Functions</b> (<b>Technician/Maintenance Escalation Support)</b></p><ul><li>Serve as escalation point for complex technical or equipment issues that supervisors cannot resolve.</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate emergency maintenance responses and critical equipment repairs.</li><li>Prioritize competing maintenance requests across multiple production areas.</li><li>Make decisions on equipment run/repair priorities based on production impact.</li><li>Approve overtime or call-in of additional maintenance resources when needed.</li><li>Interface with maintenance leadership on major equipment failures or chronic issues</li><li>Ensure proper documentation of escalated technical issues for day shift follow-up</li></ul><p><b>Materials Escalation Support</b></p><ul><li>Address material shortage or supply issues escalated by production supervisors.</li><li>Coordinate emergency material procurement or transfers between areas.</li><li>Make decisions on production sequencing or line changes due to material constraint.</li><li>Resolve material quality or specification discrepancies affecting production.</li><li>Approve expedited material requests or alternative material usage when appropriate.</li><li>Communicate critical material issues to materials management and procurement teams.</li><li>Ensure proper inventory management practices are followed across all areas.</li></ul><p><b>Quality Escalation Support</b></p><ul><li>Review and approve quality holds or non-conformance decisions escalated by supervisors.</li><li>Make disposition decisions on out-of-specification product or materials.</li><li>Coordinate with quality technicians on complex quality investigations during shift</li><li>Authorize rework, scrap, or use-as-is decisions within delegated authority limits.</li><li>Escalate major quality incidents to quality management and senior leadership.</li><li>Support root cause analysis efforts for quality problems occurring on night shift.</li><li>Ensure customer quality requirements and specifications are maintained.</li></ul><p><b>Required Skills</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in addition to 3 years of operations experience.</li><li>Proven leadership experience managing supervisors or team leads.</li><li>Strong operational and production management knowledge Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.</li><li>Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.</li><li>Ability to make sound decisions under pressure with limited information.</li><li>Technical understanding of production equipment, processes, and quality systems.</li><li>Conflict resolution and people management skills Proficiency with production management systems, ERP, and data analysis tools.</li></ul><p>MF15</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>What you&#39;ll receive for the great work you provide:</b></p><ul><li>Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Short-term and Long-term Disability</li><li>Matching 401(k) Contributions</li><li>Vacation and Paid Sick Time</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Pay Range (Applicable to Illinois)<h3></h3><h3></h3>$84,000.00 USD - $115,500.00 USD Annual<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><h2>Job Category</h2>Operations<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Is Sponsorship Available?</p>No<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
