About the Role
An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Spanish Thoracic Tumors Medical Affairs team. The MSL is a credentialed therapeutic and disease expert (PhD, PharmD, DNP, MD, or equivalent degree) who engages in scientific exchange with leaders in the external medical and scientific community. This role involves providing scientific leaders (SLs) with balanced, factual, and scientific information about non-product areas of interest to the Company, as well as addressing scientific questions related to Company products.
The MSL's work is aligned with four core pillars: Scientific Exchange, Research, Scientific Congress Support, and Scientific Insights. MSLs serve as a vital link between the scientific community and the Company, enhancing the understanding of scientific foundations and goals for approved, in-development, and active Company-sponsored trials and/or investigator-sponsored research studies. Additionally, the MSL acts as a role model for other field medical team members, contributing to on-boarding and sharing therapeutic expertise. Geographical area will be determined afterwards.
What you will do:
Scientific Exchange: Develop professional relationships and engage with national and/or regional scientific leaders (SLs) to ensure access to medical and scientific information on therapeutic interests and Company products. Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions, maintain a reliable presence with SLs, and address scientific questions while directing inquiries outside of MSL scope (e.g., grants) to appropriate Company resources. Maintain current knowledge of the dynamic scientific and clinical environment in the Company's Areas of Interest (AOI).
Research: Upon request from Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO), identify barriers to patient enrollment and retention, recommend study sites, and identify potential investigators for phase II-IV clinical development programs. Address questions from investigators regarding participation in Company-sponsored clinical studies and enhance comprehension of the scientific foundations and goals of investigator-sponsored research. Initiate discussions with SLs and potential investigators to align scientific/data exchange with research strategies and study concepts.
Scientific Congress Support: Engage in scientific and medical meetings through pre-congress preparation, facilitate scientific and data exchange for both Company and competitor data, and collect meaningful insights. Staff congress exhibit booth as applicable. Scientific Insights: Gather feedback, data, or information during routine activities to help the Company better understand the medical or scientific needs, priorities, or concerns of healthcare practitioners and/or patients.
Inclusive Mindset and Behavior: Demonstrate eagerness to contribute to an environment of belonging, inclusion, equity, and empowerment. Lead by example and serve as a role model for creating, leading, and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce.
