Essential Position Responsibilities:
· Proficiency in the operation of laboratory’s instruments for analysis of biological samples collected from laboratory animals for standard panels of clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation and urinalysis.
· Maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment according to company SOPs.
· Records observations and collects data via data capture systems, and/or hand generated forms in accordance with GLPs, SOPs, and protocol.
· Independently reviews data, performs laboratory QC and identifies potential problems.
· Communicates with the study directors and in-life technicians regarding sample quality.
Additional Position Responsibilities:/Critical Success Factors
· Performs general laboratory support functions such as supply inventory, shipping procedures, administration of computer systems or data maintenance.
Additional Requirements/Preferences:
· Ability to multi-task and participate in multiple nonclinical research studies concurrently.
· Ability to produce high quality data while working under the pressure of strict deadlines.
· Overtime, weekend and holiday work may be required.
· Work requires passing pulmonary function test, annual physical and the use of other PPE (personal protective equipment)
Qualifications:
B.S. or B.A. preferred.
ASCP certification or equivalent is required.
Experience with sample analysis in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis.
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) preferred.
The pay range estimated for this position is $26.44 to 33.41 per hour. Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
