As part of our PPD clinical research team, you’ll have the opportunity to support groundbreaking studies that make a real difference in patients’ lives.
Position Summary
As a Medical Information Specialist I, supporting Virtual Screening activities, you will provide technical, medical, and clinical trial information while supporting the recruitment, engagement, and pre-screening of potential clinical trial participants.
Serve as an initial point of contact for potential participants, conducting inbound and outbound communications by virtual interactions via telephone and/or SMS/email. You will provide approved study information, perform intake of adverse events/ product complaints with quality customer service, perform protocol-specific pre-screening activities, verify relevant participant information and medical history using study-specific questionnaires and checklists, and facilitate the progression of potentially eligible participants to clinical research sites.
Analyzes and researches inquiries and documents interactions according to organizational, client and regulatory guidelines. The information provided will be given to a level in parallel with the individual’s expertise, experience and training.
Position Requirements
Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification - preferably Medical, Pharmacy, Biomedical degree or any equivalent to that (Life science degree).
Experience
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 2 years).
• In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Czech and English language skills (comprehension, speaking, reading and writing);
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to interpret client provided complex medical and technical information
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in challenging circumstances
