Our Medical Affairs team advances patient care by engaging in scientific exchange with external medical experts and industry professionals ensuring the scientific value of our products is realized. We engage and train internal employees to ensure that they thoroughly comprehend the science behind the medicine and review further unmet medical needs to bolster collaboration and further differentiate our portfolio.

Our site in 1100 Vienna (ICON Tower) is a strategic location for the distribution of our high quality and innovative health care products, as well as digitally integrated solutions for our patients and clients. Medical Advisor Vaccines (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Holding primary responsibility within the country for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Plans for assigned assets

  • Being valued co-strategists on cross-functional country teams, with Marketing, Market Access and Policy

  • Proposing local data generation study concepts and – if prioritized and funded - ensures HQ approval through appropriate governance

  • Being accountable for on-time local study execution, analysis, and publication

  • Building trust with the external scientific community via peer-to-peer engagement with scientific leaders and executing country advisory boards and expert input forums to remain on the leading edge of therapeutic and patient care advances

  • Collaborating successfully and leading resolution of regulatory, reputational, ethical, and other asset management issues in the country

  • Facilitating peer-to-peer medical and scientific information exchange with key external and internal stakeholders

  • Providing prompt medical information support, such as research and answering of medical inquiries from external and internal customers, and review/approval of local response documents

  • Translating the Global Medical Goals and Strategies into research, data analysis, scientific communication, educational, and other tactics and solutions that improve patient outcomes and enhance access in their country

  • Consolidating actionable medical insights from the country that can help inform company strategies

  • Developing a network of scientific leaders and successful interactions with other key stakeholders (public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations) in therapy areas

Qualifications

  • MD, PhD or Pharma Degree required

  • Solid expertise through clinical and/or research experience in therapy area is desired

  • Experience of local pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulatory/reimbursement framework and clinical research guidelines strongly desired

  • Strategic thinking, specifically related to asset value proposition, and clinical and value evidence

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate information at country management level, with public groups and to scientific leaders

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication (written as well as oral) and results oriented project management skills

  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to understand how decisions fit into the broader context of corporate strategies

  • In a matrix environment, able to effectively collaborate across functions

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Fluency in English and German, both oral and written

The minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 67.600,- and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
