Position Summary
The Medical Advisor, Oncology serves as the country Medical Lead for all designated product related activities. The role works in close collaboration with the Country Therapeutic Area Head (TAH) Oncology, Field Medical Lead Oncology, Oncology MSL team, and Regulatory & Compliance Organization (RCO). The Medical Advisor reports directly to the Regional Medical Market Lead. This role exemplifies the future of Medical Affairs – innovative products, multi-indication medications, evolving scientific questions, increasing speed of clinical development for pipeline products that fill high unmet needs for patients. This is a fast-paced and dynamic environment internally and externally, with a truly collaborative and passionate team and company, fostering collective responsibility, innovation and agility to better serve our patients.
This opportunity will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain extensive pipeline, launch and project management experience. They will play an instrumental role enhancing the value of the pipeline-portfolio and driving the medical performance of this asset. The Medical Advisor will be responsible for maintaining deep scientific knowledge of the products and therapy areas covered to act as an expert both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide scientific and clinical expertise for therapy area internally and externally.
· Advance the BMS Medical mission by building trusted, peer-to-peer scientific partnerships and delivering timely data and actionable insights that support appropriate use of BMS medicines and improve patient care.
· Driver of content and executor of Medical strategy and research plans for designated therapy area product and pipeline.
· Act as point of contact for in country local teams for designated product.
· Lead the Market Rapid Response Team and work with RCO, Medical and other key stakeholders to ensure accelerated trial recruitment, proactive landscape shaping, delivery of targeted education in high-impact areas and ensure RWE needs are identified.
· Development and management of regional field tactical plans and scientific activities in close liaison with in country Field Medical Managers and Therapeutic Area Heads.
· Strategy development and tactical implementation (e.g. management of publications, medical education initiatives, recruitment acceleration programmes).
· Active member of the extended worldwide medical and brand teams for designated product (s)/indications, if applicable.
· Managed Access input, where required.
Clinical Trial Support
· Serve as the primary point of contact between clinical trial investigators and the BMS Medical/Global Development Operations (GDO) team, as aligned with local medical leadership.
· Support Interventional and Non-Interventional Research (NIR) studies by identifying and assessing potential study sites, facilitating patient recruitment, and supporting discussions around the safe and effective use of BMS investigational products — in accordance with local medical management direction and the relevant study scope document.

Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
Advanced scientific or clinical degree (Physician, Pharmacist or PhD desired, other candidates with suitable scientific qualifications and relevant pharmaceutical experience welcome).
Experience:
Core:
· Medical Affairs experience in oncology.
· Ability to work co-operatively with others in order to meet group and organisational goals, to consistently deliver on commitments and communicate opinions, facts and thoughts with clarity, transparency and honesty.
· Exceptional ability to work and lead cross functionally in highly matrixed structure.
Desired:
· Clinical experience in oncology or haemato-oncology.
· Experience of working in clinical research.
· Experience in working to local regulations and navigating complex healthcare systems.
· Strategy development, understanding of local market access.
· Experience in pre-and-peri launch.
· Experience with real world evidence and Managed Access.
Languages:
· Fluent in Mandarin Chinese & working proficiency in English
