The Marketing and Device manager for the Intensive Livestock team is responsible to coordinate marketing, device management and commercial assistance to the sales and marketing efforts of the Pig, Poultry and Aqua teams as necessary to support the allocated product portfolio.
The job scope includes:
- Manage products within designated product portfolio including aligning product marketing efforts with department strategies, ensuring marketing efforts are focused on maintaining high brand awareness and managing individual sales journeys for Key Account Managers.
- Assist with the registration of new products and coordinate new product launches.
- Assist commercial team to achieve sales as per targets set through product lifecycle management strategies.
- Work closely with Technical Managers and Sales Managers to ensure sales force is fully equipped to service clients.
- Expand market share of portfolio products.
- Briefing and liaising with advertising companies and promotion companies.
- Assist in planning and executing Product Launches, Sales Conferences and assist with Exhibitions etc. (all departments).
- Co-ordination of promotional campaigns for product portfolio according to needs of the sales force and market.
- Remain within promotional budget.
- Assist on-farm or in-hatchery with vaccine administration, device problem solving and product administration auditing.
- Initiate the implementation of Multi-Channel Marketing where applicable.
- Manage a team of device technicians, service schedules, parts and device management control and device tracking systems.
- Assist device technicians on procurement of parts, spares and ad-hoc device support for new installations.
- Managing devices, parts and consumables with KAMs and device technicians.
- Managing ROI and spend on devices.
Requirements for education, skills and experience include:
Experience and qualification in business-to-business marketing.
Experience in the field of poultry or swine would be beneficial.
Experience with people management and performance management.
Experience and qualification with digital marketing.
Good time management skills required.
Commercial experience will be beneficial.
Highly flexible and agile.
Able to prioritise projects well.
Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
Skills with various software applications including Windows suite, Acrobat suite, Microsoft teams, Power BI and SAP.
Skills in innovation, strategy development and implementation as well as marketing journey managements.
Additional information:
Position requires travel of at least 50% to SA and SSA regions.
