Are you passionate about sustainability and skilled at keeping complex programs running smoothly? We're looking for a proactive and organized Program Coordinator to support Smart Freight Centre's Market-Based Measures (MBM) program.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting people, coordinating projects, organizing events, and ensuring that important work gets delivered effectively. You'll work closely with colleagues, member companies, technical experts, funders, and other stakeholders who are helping accelerate freight decarbonization worldwide.
If you're motivated by climate action and enjoy making things happen behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.
✈️ About Smart Freight Centre:
Think about the package that just arrived at your doorstep. The products on store shelves, or the goods being shipped across oceans. Logistics is everywhere, powering the world we live in. And because it’s everywhere, it’s also one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions globally.
That’s where Smart Freight Centre (SFC) steps in. We’re tackling the carbon footprint of logistics head-on, working with businesses, governments, and key players around the globe. Our mission? To transform the logistics sector into a zero-emission industry by 2050, or hopefully even sooner. Want to help drive this change? Join us.
✏️ About the position:
We are seeking a Program Coordinator (Maternity Cover) to support the day-to-day delivery of SFC's Market-Based Measures and Book & Claim programs.
As the operational backbone of the team, you will help coordinate stakeholder engagement, working groups, community activities, events, communications, reporting, and administrative processes. You will ensure that projects stay organized, stakeholders stay engaged, and program activities run smoothly.
This role combines project coordination, stakeholder management, event organization, communications, and secretariat support. It is well suited for someone who enjoys working across multiple priorities, builds strong relationships, and thrives in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
You'll work closely with the Program Manager and project teams to keep activities on track, coordinate internal and external communication, and support events, training, and reporting. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and excited about contributing to meaningful climate action, this could be a great fit.
