The APAC Market Access team is seeking a highly motivated intern to support strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient access to Abbott's established and innovative healthcare portfolio across Asia Pacific.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to regional market access strategy, healthcare systems, reimbursement pathways, patient access programs, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple APAC markets. The intern will work closely with Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, and external stakeholders on projects that contribute to sustainable patient access and business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will support the Market Access team in advancing access priorities across selected APAC markets through the following activities:
Market Access Strategy Support
• Support market access planning and execution for selected EPD brands across APAC.
• Assist in developing and updating access strategies for established and growth brands.
• Contribute to patient access planning and market expansion initiatives.
Stakeholder Mapping and Engagement
• Conduct stakeholder mapping exercises for government agencies, healthcare institutions, payers, healthcare professionals, and patient organizations.
• Support stakeholder engagement planning and tracking activities.
• Assist in maintaining stakeholder databases and engagement records.
Access Programs and Market Expansion
• Support the expansion of access initiatives, including Influvac acceleration plans in selected markets.
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of Patient Assistance Programs and Early Access Programs.
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders on program reporting and execution.
Market Research and Analysis
• Conduct healthcare system, reimbursement, epidemiology, and competitive landscape research.
• Analyze market trends and access barriers across APAC markets.
• Prepare market access reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Finance teams to support key projects.
• Contribute to brand planning and access-related initiatives.
• Support project coordination and tracking across multiple stakeholders.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
Education
• Undergraduate or postgraduate student pursuing a degree in:
o Pharmacy
o Public Health
o Health Economics
o Business
o Economics
o Life Sciences
o Healthcare Management
o Related disciplines
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly:
o Excel
o PowerPoint
o Word
• Strong research and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to synthesize information and develop concise presentations.

This opportunity is offered through our third-party contract arrangement, with a 6-month internship duration.
