This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, high-performing team where your hands-on technical expertise will directly impact our mission to restore people’s bodies and their abilities.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Integrity Orthopaedics</b> transformed soft tissue repair with a patented, FDA-cleared system designed to improve surgical fixation and long-term healing in rotator cuff repair. <b>Now part of Smith+Nephew</b>, we are expanding production to support a broader commercial launch and drive operational excellence across the organization.</p><p></p><p><b>What will you be doing?</b></p><ul><li>Setting up and qualifying production equipment fixtures and tooling to ensure reliable operation</li><li>Developing and executing preventative maintenance and calibration schedules</li><li>Troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime</li><li>Supporting process development and validation through structured testing</li><li>Maintaining spare parts and materials for equipment and facility needs</li><li>Documenting maintenance, calibration, testing, and validation activities in line with regulatory and company requirements</li><li>Training colleagues on proper equipment and fixture operation</li><li>Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized production environment</li><li>Performing general facility maintenance and coordinating external contractors</li><li>Identifying and addressing potential facility hazards</li><li>Supporting facility layout changes, moves, and other cross-functional operational needs.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What will you need to be successful?</b><br /> </p><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li><span>Two-year technical degree in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or similar (or equivalent combination of education and experience)</span><br /> </li></ul><p><b>Experience</b></p><p></p><ul><li>6+ years of experience in medical device or other high-reliability regulated manufacturing environments, including direct support of equipment in FDA/ISO regulated operations</li><li>Hands-on experience with equipment validation and structured troubleshooting</li><li>Experience with Lean manufacturing, SPC, and DOE preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Knowledge</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics</li><li>Experience with mechanical assembly; injection molding, laser welding, and packaging experience preferred</li><li>Proficiency with precision measuring equipment (calipers, pin gauges, optical comparator)</li><li>Working knowledge of MS Office</li><li>CAD experience for tooling and fixture design preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><b></b><b>Competences</b></p><ul><li><span>Good teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated commitment to company values</span></li><li><span>Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to develop assembly processes for medical devices</span></li><li><span>Capability to use equipment such as microscope, mechanical assembly tooling & fixtures, and hand tools</span><br /> </li></ul><p><span><b>Other requirements:</b> </span></p><ul><li><span>Ability to lift up to 30 pounds</span></li><li><span>Ability to wear cleanroom clothing and work in a cleanroom environment as needed</span><br /> </li></ul><p><b>You Unlimited. </b></p><p>We believe in creating the greatest good for society. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew.
