With over $1B invested annually in R&amp;D, we empower our teams to turn science into meaningful impact across healthcare, environmental safety, and beyond.</p><p></p><h2><b>Position Summary</b></h2><p>The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to ensure optimal material flow, on-time delivery, and efficient resource utilization. This role plays a key part in improving performance metrics such as OTIF, Backorder, Schedule Attainment, and Utilization, while proactively identifying risks and driving solutions with minimal supervision.</p><p></p><h2><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li><p>Plan, schedule, and monitor production and material flow to support on-time delivery</p></li><li><p>Support Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and material requirements planning</p></li><li><p>Own and monitor KPIs including OTIF, Backorder, Safety Stock, and material shortages</p></li><li><p>Partner with Material Planners and Order Management to address shortages and expedite orders</p></li><li><p>Identify inventory risks and present during S&amp;OP meetings</p></li><li><p>Analyze root causes of stockouts and drive corrective and preventive actions</p></li><li><p>Support new product introductions and capacity planning activities</p></li><li><p>Attend daily management stand-ups and provide planning status updates</p></li><li><p>Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives</p></li><li><p>Act as a subject matter expert in supply chain planning, including SAP and reporting tools</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2><p></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, data science, or equivalent experience</p></li><li><p>2&#43; years of production planning or related experience</p></li><li><p>ERP experience preferred (SAP strongly preferred)</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</p></li><li><p>Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p>Demonstrates Thermo Fisher Scientific values (Integrity, Intensity, Involvement, Innovation)</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><h2><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></h2><p></p><ul><li><p>Experience in a manufacturing environment</p></li><li><p>Degree in supply chain, science, or engineering</p></li><li><p>2&#43; years of planning experience in SAP or other ERP systems</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><h2><b>Working Conditions</b></h2><p></p><ul><li><p>Office and manufacturing environment</p></li><li><p>Occasional walking to production areas (PPE required)</p></li><li><p>Prolonged sitting or standing; occasional lifting up to 10 lbs</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States </span><span>without sponsorship</span><span>. </span></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
