The Opportunity:
About the Role
We are seeking a technically skilled professional to join our IT organization and support the implementation, integration, and ongoing support of a Digital Manufacturing Platform across manufacturing locations.
This role focuses on IT systems and plays a key role in connecting Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT), enabling reliable and secure data flow between shop‑floor equipment, enterprise systems, and digital manufacturing platforms.
The role works closely with ERP, manufacturing operations, engineering, and IT teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and user‑centric digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
IT/OT Center of Excellence (CoE)
- Act as a subject matter resource for HighByte and Tulip software within the organization
- Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end data flows between shop‑floor systems, ERP platforms, and digital manufacturing solutions
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues related to the Industrial DataOps platform (HighByte) and MQTT‑based data brokers
- Ensure solutions comply with security, data governance, and regulatory standards
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide training and ongoing support to operations and engineering teams
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify digitalization and process improvement opportunities
- Work with third‑party technology vendors as required
- Stay informed about Industry 4.0 technologies, edge integration, and low‑code/no‑code MES platforms
HighByte Intelligence Hub
- Configure and manage data models, pipelines, and contextualization processes
- Set up and maintain connectors to OT and IT systems, including PLCs, SCADA, historians, ERP, and MES platforms
- Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange between the Tulip platform, enterprise applications, and the Unified Namespace (UNS)
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to define and deliver new integration use cases
Tulip Platform
- Support deployment and configuration of the Tulip platform across manufacturing sites
- Configure and manage Tulip connectors for integrations with ERP, PLM, QMS, and related systems
- Support process engineers developing Tulip applications, dashboards, and workflows for operations, quality, and maintenance
- Assist end users in leveraging Tulip for daily manufacturing activities, where applicable
Experience & Skills
Professional Experience & Collaboration
- Experience integrating Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), digital manufacturing platforms, or comparable solutions
- Experience working in regulated or validated environments (e.g., FDA‑regulated systems)
- Familiarity with shop‑floor operations such as production, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing operations
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including IT, OT, engineering, and operations
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and practical manner to diverse stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to continue learning in an evolving digital manufacturing environment
Note: Equivalent experience and alternative career paths are valued.
Technical Skills
- Experience or working knowledge of HighByte Intelligence Hub or similar data integration/DataOps platforms
- Familiarity with MQTT‑based broker technologies (e.g., HiveMQ, EMQX)
- Understanding of REST APIs and industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, or Kepware
- Experience integrating MES platforms with enterprise systems (ERP, historians, IoT platforms)
- Exposure to scripting or low‑code development environments (e.g., Python or similar)
- Understanding of edge computing concepts and deployment models
- Experience with containerized solutions and cloud platforms (AWS experience is beneficial)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
- Hands‑on experience with HighByte Intelligence Hub (data modeling, connectors, integrations)
- Experience with the Tulip platform or other MES solutions (app development, dashboards, integrations)
- Background in industrial automation, controls engineering, or digital manufacturing projects is beneficial
Work Environment & Conditions
- Office‑based role with standard lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise levels
- Work location: Pune, India, with the possibility of part‑time remote work
- Work involves managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Role is primarily sedentary, with occasional walking, standing, bending, or lifting of objects typically under 10 lbs
