You serve as the primary point of contact for all technical questions, advice, and modifications related to technical systems and the technical team. You lead the team responsible for the operational reliability, maintenance, and safety of technical installations, spare parts management, machine checklists, and all HSE aspects related to machinery and buildings.</p><p>In addition, you are responsible for the complete site maintenance of the Medemblik location, including all Facilities‑related activities. This includes the management, maintenance, and operational assurance of cleanrooms, HVAC installations, and controlled environments that are essential to the site’s production and quality processes.</p><p>The Technical Department Manager ensures that the team operates as efficiently as possible and acts as the key user of the CMMS system. The technical department consists of technical engineers, electricians, and technical support staff.</p><p>You act as departmental manager in the absence of the Maintenance and Facilities Manager.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>The purpose of the Technical Department Manager is to organize and oversee all activities within the building and maintenance management department. You ensure that all tasks are carried out with the required level of quality, completed on time, and executed according to agreed‑upon standards and procedures. You also transfer your own technical knowledge and skills to colleagues, thereby increasing the overall competency level within the team.</p><p>When work needs to be outsourced or contracted, you are responsible for selecting and coordinating the appropriate contractors and suppliers to ensure all activities are performed professionally and safely.</p><p>This role also includes coordinating and executing all maintenance and facility‑related activities for the Medemblik site.</p><p></p><p><b><span>What you will do:</span></b></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with all procedures, work instructions, safety regulations, occupational health requirements, and all other internal rules applicable to the organization and the Technical Department.</li><li>Provide hierarchical leadership to workshop employees and technical engineers.</li><li>Guide, instruct, coach, and train (new) employees to increase their knowledge level and independence.</li><li>Conduct annual performance and development reviews.</li><li>Identify development needs and recommend employees for personal development, including job‑related training programs.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Who you are:</span> </b></p><ul><li>Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or technical management</li><li>At least 1 to 5 years of professional experience within Procurement and/or a production environment</li><li>Knowledge of tools and production equipment</li><li>Several years of managerial experience</li><li>Excellent communication skills in the English and Dutch language</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:</span> </b></p><ul><li><p>CMMS and ERP knowledge</p></li><li><p></p><p><span style="font-size:14px">Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vertical lookups…) and other MS Office applications</span></p></li></ul><p>              </p><p></p><p><span>Join our winning team today.
