Manager, R&D Laboratory Operations

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong><span style="font-size: 11pt;">POSITION SUMMARY:</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic and implemental <strong>Laboratory Operations Manager</strong> to lead an R&D lab support team. The Laboratory Operations Manager will support the R&D department by creating, maintaining and managing high functioning laboratories. This role focuses on optimizing operations and management in the areas of EHS, inventory, procurement, equipment and space. The ideal candidate will drive lab support efficiency, continuous improvement, and align lab support strategies with business needs. </span></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong><span style="font-size: 11pt;">PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: </span></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Work closely with all R&D teams and counterparts in the R&D Operations team to ensure the necessary environment, facilities, reagents & supplies, materials, and equipment for performing R&D projects</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Work primarily with the R&D Laboratory Operations team and outside vendors to plan and perform duties in the areas of EHS, inventory, procurement, equipment and space</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Plan, oversee and execute day-to-day R&D lab operations, including but not limited to lab safety and compliance, adequate lab supplies and inventory, sample procurement, and equipment usage</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Plan and forecast consumption levels of reagents/consumables based on current and upcoming project load to prevent redundant ordering and limit waste/scrap</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Provide updates and logistical oversight on sample procurement</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Compile, analyze and forecast spending</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Develop and implement tools for efficient use of high capital expense equipment</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, style="font-size: 11pt;">Assess, make suggestions, and optimize laboratory workflow and logistics to improve department and laboratory efficiency and productivity</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Identify, propose and implement changes/modifications to documentation systems and procedures to ensure compliance</span></span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Ensure that R&D labs are following relevant GxPs and CLIA 11pt;">QUALIFICATIONS: </span></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">BS or BA in science, engineering, business or related field</span></span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Seven plus years of combined experience in areas of lab operations, scientific research, EHS QA/QC, facilities and/or general management </span></span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Minimum of five years of previous laboratory management experience</span></span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Minimum of three years of people management experience</span></span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong><span style="font-size:
