The Manager, Project Management will lead the planning and execution of transition, migration, process improvement, automations, system implementations and other change and transformation programs and ensure successful program delivery. The Project Manager will also oversee project portfolios and ensure successful delivery of portfolio goals. He/she will be responsible for running the program activities and supervising critical program milestones. The job holder will collaborate with a wide range of partners within and outside of Global Business Services, ensuring an integrated approach.</p><p></p><h1>MAJOR AREAS OF <span>RESPONSIBILITY:</span></h1><p></p><ul><li>Collaborate with horizontal workstreams to address interdependencies; drive governance and facilitate regular program and project calls.</li><li>Design the Service Delivery Model and prepares the business case for mid to large sized projects by translating customer requirements (as-is state) into the future state (to-be state), and also by performing risks & process readiness assessments.</li><li>Influence key program stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation across workstreams and businesses.</li><li>Conduct periodic project plan assessments, including milestone and deliverables reviews to ensure readiness and quality of the projects.</li><li>Employ fit-for-purpose methodologies to ensure timely completion of deliverables and milestones to achieve project scope in a timely manner, with quality and within budget.</li><li>Identify and manage risks, issues, actions, decisions, and interdependencies, own the issue escalation process in case of critical issues and drives to find mitigation strategies.</li><li>Prepare and define deliverables, review deliverables and milestones. Monitors, maintain/update project plans & resolve complex issues / manage critical path processes as it relates to project delivery.</li><li>Responsible for regular reporting cadences, ensure clear communication of project outcomes (risks, issues, actions, and decisions), lead Steering Committee discussions. Effectively communicate the status and results of the projects</li><li>Build a high performing team of highly skilled and motivated people.</li><li><span>S</span>upport to lead cross-functional, geographically distributed project teams, to achieve desired outcomes.</li><li>Prepare and maintain complex project plans, defines deliverables and owners, checks resource requirements, seeks for resources.</li><li>Lead and execute assigned projects or defined areas of complex projects—regardless of scope (complex business transformations, automations, system implementations, migrations, transitions, process reengineering, etc.)</li><li>Drive project requirements, deliverables, and progress throughout the project’s lifecycle with Business, Operational teams, IT, and any other functions.</li><li>Oversee portfolio of projects, manages project changes and interventions to keep the portfolio on track, acts as single source of truth for the overall health and savings pipeline.</li><li>Create a culture of excellence in line with our Thermo Fisher Value</li></ul><p></p><p></p><h1>REQUIRED <span>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</span></h1><h1></h1><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required, preferably business related.</li><li>Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile, etc.) highly desirable</li><li>5+ years of solid experience managing complex, global programs and project initiatives.</li><li>Experience in Finance operations (OTC, PTP, RTR, FA, Inventory) or Customer Service preferred.</li><li>GBS experience is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience in Agile project management is an advantage.</li><li>Proficiency in English (verbal and written)</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u><span>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:</span></u></b></p><p></p><ul><li>High stakeholder management skills</li><li>Robust project management skills and capabilities (planning tools, defining deliverables, business case and baseline development) with high attention to detail.</li><li>Has the ability to work independently, within a team, and collaboratively across teams.</li><li>Excellent presentation skills, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels of the organization</li><li>Good communicator and can also practice active listening.</li><li>Able to apply critical thinking to problem solving and can learn on the fly.</li><li>Proven people management skills in leading project team members; support in succession planning and team development</li><li><span>C</span>an efficiently cope with change and can comfortably look after risk and uncertainties.</li><li>Capable of prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, efficient in time management.</li><li>Has experience in successfully leading complex, multidimensional projects.</li><li>Has sound workshop facilitation skills, including the ability to difficult or intricate messages in a measured and clear manner.</li><li>Has good interpersonal skills & good negotiating skills.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
