<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b></h2><p></p><div><p><b>Primary Functions</b></p><ul><li>Provide overall leadership to the operations team on GMP &amp; compliance.</li><li>Responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and overall supervision of safeguard initiatives (protecting the product, GMP compliance) as per Abbott Standards.</li><li>Ensure the highest standards of food safety, GMP, hygiene, quality, and system compliance.</li><li>Drive projects and actions related to continuous improvement.</li></ul><p><b>Major Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>GMP, Hygiene &amp; Compliance</b></p><ul><li>Ensure the highest standards of GMP and hygiene compliance in Manufacturing.</li><li>Drive a culture of food safety and quality at the shop floor through systems and monitoring plans.</li><li>Ensure there are no operational impacts due to GMP and compliance-related issues.</li><li>Identify GMP improvement actions, ensure closure, monitor compliance, and support sustenance.</li><li>Optimize GMP maintenance work orders and ensure change‑management compliance.</li><li>Ensure 100% adherence to SOPs for operations, cleaning, and hygiene.</li><li>Handle internal and external audits and compliance reviews, ensuring food safety compliance in Manufacturing.</li></ul><p><b>People, Culture &amp; Training</b></p><ul><li>Promote and foster good human relations within the department and across the plant.</li><li>Ensure employees embrace Abbott Values.</li><li>Lead career development, planning, and performance discussions for team members.</li><li>Provide relevant training to educate and motivate employees to maintain the highest levels of food safety and compliance.</li><li>Engage self and the operations team in continuous improvement.</li></ul><p><b>Continuous Improvement</b></p><ul><li>Drive the Business Excellence Program and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives (RCA, OSW, etc.).</li><li>Analyze root causes and execute CAPA for events, GMP observations, and compliance issues.</li><li>Lead and manage specific projects as required.</li><li>Ensure timely reporting of Safety, Quality, Food Safety, and People-related incidents.</li></ul><p><b>Maintenance, Cleaning &amp; Safeguard</b></p><ul><li>Periodically review maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities to ensure food safety and hygiene.</li><li>Execute standardized non‑routine cleanings, risk assessments, and mitigation actions as per revised EMP policy.</li><li>Investigate non-routine detects and implement corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Drive global CAPA assessment and execution.</li><li>Execute preventive actions proactively to avoid POP events as per revised safeguard policy.</li><li>Ensure documentation aligns with global safeguard policy compliance.</li><li>Ensure 5S and safe working practices across operations, including storage and handling of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.</li></ul><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Science in:<ul><li>Dairy Technology</li><li>Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Food Science</li><li>Microbiology</li></ul></li><li>2–5 years of experience (or Diploma with relevant experience).</li><li>Strong people-management skills.</li><li>Good understanding of production and/or material operations.</li><li>Knowledge of planning and forecasting techniques.</li><li>Knowledge of Quality &amp; Food Safety systems.</li><li>Proficiency in Gujarati is an added advantage.</li></ul></div><p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p><b>The base pay for this position is </b></p>N/A<p style="text-align:left"><span>In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit">     </p><h2><b>JOB FAMILY:</b></h2>Manufacturing<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>DIVISION:</b></h2>ANSC Nutrition Supply Chain<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><h2><b>LOCATION:</b></h2>India &gt; Jhagadia : Operation Support<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS:</b></h2><p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>WORK SHIFT:</b></h2>Standard<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>TRAVEL:</b></h2>Yes, 15 % of the Time<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE:</b></h2>Not Applicable<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>SIGNIFICANT WORK ACTIVITIES:</b></h2>Continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:inherit">     </p><p style="text-align:inherit">     </p>
