We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives.   As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.  Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.</p><p>   </p><p>As a Manager, Forecasting and Business Insights, you will be responsible in supporting the business objectives of senior leadership and other business partners by developing and managing forecasting models as well as bridging insights and analyses to actionable strategy. The F&amp;BI Manager will take a leadership role in driving market planning activities in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to inform decision making. He/she will work cross-functionally with commercial leadership, finance, marketing, market access, and sales.    <b>This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.</b></p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Do</b></p><ul><li><b>Forecasting:</b> Leverages market knowledge, primary and secondary data, and KPIs to develop short-term and long-term forecasts, commercial opportunity assessments, and uncertainty analyses. Performs Bottom-up and Top-down forecasting to support short-term forecasting and long-range plan processes. Develops robust market model projections and scenarios in collaboration with business partners. </li><li><b>Strategic Insights and Analytics:</b> Proactively provides recommendations to support market strategies and business investment decisions. Provides business and finance teams with analysis that yields actionable insights that support increasing market share, sales and margin. Supports data analytics team in bridging forecast assumptions to actual performance. Structures analyses around ambiguous problems and manage multiple projects. Generate fact-based data and financial insights and combine quantitative data analysis with qualitative market research insights to solve business problems and create business opportunities. Ensure accuracy and proactive communication of analyses, strategic recommendations, and other deliverables. </li><li><b>Market and Competitive Insights:</b> Identify market trends and growth drivers by utilizing both internal and external data sources to define their impact on the forecast in partnership with the Competitive Insights teams. </li><li><b>Internal and Field Stakeholder Management:</b> Effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders to gain agreement on the forecast, business objectives and the action plan to achieve them</li><li><b>Process:</b> Builds and establishes Forecast Center of Excellence. Consistently implements all forecasting and analytical protocols, procedures, and standards in a timely manner. Investigates data enhancements and discrepancies across forecasting and data analytics teams.
