This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizes contractual terms, and maintains strong relationships with providers. The position also oversees the creation and administration of <b>Letters of Agreement (LOAs)</b> to support operational and financial objectives.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Work On</b></p><p></p><p><b>Contract Management &amp; Renegotiation</b></p><ul><li>Review, analyze, and renegotiate DME and IDTF contracts to align with organizational goals and market standards.</li><li>Ensure all agreements comply with federal, state, and payer regulations.</li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved service delivery through contract optimization.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Letters of Agreement (LOAs)</b></p><ul><li>Draft, review, and execute LOAs for special arrangements or exceptions.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for non-contracted DME and IDTF providers to resolve LOA billing and payment issues.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely approvals.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Compliance &amp; Reporting</b></p><ul><li>Monitor adherence to contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Prepare reports on contract performance, renegotiation outcomes, and financial impact.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration</b></p><ul><li>Work closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and business objectives.</li><li>Support internal stakeholders with contract interpretation and guidance.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Market Intelligence</b></p><ul><li>Monitor payer policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory changes affecting DME and IDTF services.</li><li>Share insights with leadership to inform contracting strategies and payer engagement.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications </b></p><ul><li>Associates degree or equivliant, or 3&#43; years of experience in managed care, payer relations, or healthcare sales, preferably in DME or IDTF.</li><li>Strong understanding of payer contracting, reimbursement methodologies, and healthcare regulations.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Proficiency in CRM and contract management systems.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Experience working with Medicare Advantage, Medicaid MCOs, and commercial payers to obtain LOAs.</li><li>Familiarity with HCPCS coding and billing practices for DME and diagnostic services.</li><li>Ability to interpret and explain clinical documentation to payers.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Physical Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Ability to attend job related courses &amp; seminars as required.</li><li>Ability to use office equipment that is relevant to job functions.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:  </b><a href="http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx" target="_blank">www.abbottbenefits.com</a></p><p>Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
