Managed Care Claims Analyst

Job Description Summary

Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable business insights while helping ensure operational excellence and financial accuracy? As a Managed Care Claims Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting rebate operations, contract administration, financial reporting, and data analysis within Novartis. In this highly collaborative position, you will work across multiple systems and stakeholders to ensure accurate processing, meaningful reporting, and informed decision-making. Job Description

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of managed care claims, rebates, payments, validations, reporting, and contract administration activities.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc analyses to evaluate performance, identify trends, and support business decisions.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, exchange information, and deliver outstanding customer support.
• Monitor and maintain data integrity across systems, processes, logs, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify business opportunities, risks, and performance drivers while recommending actionable solutions.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and reporting effectiveness.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and develop meaningful recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to partner effectively across diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and attention-to-detail capabilities.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or managed care industry. 

• Experience with life sciences and enterprise applications such as Model N, Revitas, SAP, or similar systems. 

• Experience leveraging data analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, or digital tools to improve business insights, operational efficiency, and decision-making. 
• Model N, Qlik, Power BI, Business Planning and Consolidation, and dashboard automation solutions.  

Benefits & Rewards


 

The salary for this position is expected to range between $60,000 - $112,600 USD per year.  The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.  Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.  US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
