Job Description

 We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing and packaging equipment on 3rd shift at our Grand Island, NY facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment. 

This position is ideal for technicians who enjoy working directly on machines, responding to breakdowns, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.  

 

 What You’ll Do 

  • Troubleshoot and repair  mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing and packaging equipment 
  • Maintain manufacturing equipment including fillers, cappers, lyophilizers, autoclaves, tanks, mixers, and packaging systems 
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance using a CMMS (IBM Maximo)  
  • Respond to equipment failures and restore operations with minimal downtime  
  • Support equipment changeovers, startups, and adjustments 
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals 
  • Accurately document maintenance activities in accordance with cGMP requirements 
  • Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements 
  • Work independently on off-shifts and escalate issues when required 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • OR 
  • Completion of a technical or trade school program and/or attainment of an associate’s degree in a related discipline may be accepted as a substitute for, or in addition to, relevant work experience. 

 

Preferred Skills 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills on manufacturing equipment types 
  • Experience working in a cGMP or regulated environment 
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings 
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred (no programming required) 
  • Experience using CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar) 
  • Comfortable working 3rd shift in a production setting 

 

Work Environment 

  • Manufacturing floor and cleanroom environment 
  • Ability to gown and follow aseptic practices 
  • Physically active role requiring hands-on equipment work 

 

Physical Requirements/ Work Environment

  • Ability to gown aseptically.
  • Safety first mindset.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $21.82–$32.72.
