We have over 100 years of innovative engineered solutions for critical, industrial, and commercial applications. <br><br>We are the experts in our industry.<br><br>This will be a multi-machine role that includes the twist machine, respool, and taping operations. The Twist Operator is responsible for the setting-up and operation of the twisters to combine component sub-assemblies into a twisted cable with the addition of tape(s) as required.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Day shifts are typically Mon-Thur 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. </b></p><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties:</b></p><ul><li>Strive to achieve continuous improvement in all activities, processes, and with all projects at Dekoron.</li><li>Understanding of safety practices, and the ability to perform quality work without supervision..</li><li>Load/unload reels of insulated or bare wire, using electric hoist as required into proper payoff positions.</li><li>String components through bows and machine</li><li>Load/unload tapes onto taping heads and string-up</li><li>Set-up equipment with proper gear ratio, tension, etc.</li><li>Operate machines and auxiliary equipment to perform function</li><li>Coordinate operation of two twisting process/lines</li><li>Clean, oil, and maintain rollers/guides in machine</li><li>Maintain manufacturing control system paperwork (line logs, move tickets, etc.)</li><li>Unload finished products and check continuity</li><li>Inspect product/samples for quality acceptance and maintain logs, SPC forms, etc.</li><li>Obeys all safety rules and company policies</li><li>Maintain work area housekeeping and assist in department housekeeping</li><li>Report unusual conditions, defective material, or equipment to a supervisor</li><li>Help to maintain inventory where applicable</li><li>Ability to follow correct procedures for Kanban of insulated wire, bare drain wire, and shielding tapes</li><li>Communicate with other shift operators as to schedule and/or problems</li><li>Assist in training new employees</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education and Experience Preferred:</b></p><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent, required</li><li>Technical training, preferred</li><li>Licenses or certifications are not required for this position</li><li>Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred, but not required</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Knowledge and Skills Preferred:</b></p><ul><li>Monitoring – watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly</li><li>Equipment selection – determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job</li><li>Control Precision – adjust controls of the machine to exact positions</li><li>Communication – understand and follow written and oral instructions</li><li>Getting information – observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources</li><li>Cognitive thinking – problem solving, prioritizing activities, allocate resources, maintain an adequate supply of materials, make sound decisions, and recommend solutions in troubleshooting and repairing in a timely and effective manner.</li><li>Ability to make quick decisive decisions concerning product and machine adjustments needed to ensure product quality</li><li>Understands the importance of being exact and accurate</li><li>Evaluating Information to determine compliance with standards - using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.</li><li>Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events - identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.</li><li>Ability to communicate with supervisors, peers or subordinates by telephone, radio, in written form, email, or in person.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Ability to process information to compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, verify information or data.</li><li>Ability to monitor and review information to detect and assess problems.</li><li>Near Vision -
