Afinitas is part of BW Forsyth Partners, LLC, the investment group of global manufacturing and engineering consulting firm Barry-Wehmiller, a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members, united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.<p style="text-align:inherit"><br>&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:inherit"><br>&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Description:</b></p><p><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</b> </p><ul><li>Setup and operate CNC Machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. </li><li>Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specifications and production demands.</li><li>Read and interpret machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional specifications, sequences of operations, setups, and tool requirements.</li><li>Operation of various hand‐operated tools related to steel fabrication.</li><li>Maintain equipment and performs daily inspections of equipment.</li><li>Clean and maintain workstation to be used daily in the production process.</li><li>Material handler duties as needed</li><li>Regular, timely attendance to meet organizational needs in an efficient and effective manner.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Prior forklift and operator experience a plus.</li><li>Basic mathematics skills and be able to read a measuring tape.</li><li>Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently.  Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used.  Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force.</li><li>Team oriented</li><li>Communication skills</li><li>Interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities</li><li>Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment</li><li>Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment needed to perform essential functions.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>WORK ENVIRONMENT</b></p><p>Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals.  Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.</p><p></p><p><b>COMPENSATION</b></p><p>The approximate pay range for this position is $19-21/hour.
