Unsere Niederlassung in 1210 Wien ist ein strategischer Standort für feste Arzneiformen wie Tabletten, Filmtabletten, Granulate und Implantate für den Schutz und die Behandlung von Nutz- und Heimtieren. Der überwiegende Teil der Produkte geht in den Export. Zur Verstärkung unseres Teams suchen wir aktuell für unseren Produktionsstandort in Wien, eine/n:

Leiter/in Qualitätskontrolle (m/w/d)

Der/Die Leiterin Qualitätskontrolle berichtet direkt an den Quality Head und ist verantwortlich für eine Abteilung mit etwa 70 Mitarbeitenden und ein jährliches Budget von rund 7 Millionen Euro sowie ein Projektbudget von rund 1,5-2 Millionen Euro.

Aufgabenbereich:

• Leitung und Weiterentwicklung der QC-Abteilung, einschließlich Personalbedarfsplanung, Teamführung, Coaching und Schulung
• Sicherstellung der Implementierung und fortlaufenden Wirksamkeit von Qualitätssystemen und regulatorischen Anforderungen im QC-Labor
• Befähigung, als Kontrolllaborleiter gemäß TAMBO (Tier-Arzneimittelbetriebsordnung) zu agieren und die Einhaltung der geltenden österreichischen veterinärpharmazeutischen Anforderungen zu unterstützen
• Überwachung der Nachverfolgung und des Abschlusses von Abweichungen, Änderungssteuerungen, CAPAs und anderen qualitätsbezogenen Maßnahmen
• Funktion als zentraler Ansprechpartner für interne und externe Anfragen, Audits und Inspektionen
• Unterstützung der Budget- und Investitionsplanung für die Qualitätseinheit in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Site Quality Head
• Vorantreiben der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung analytischer Systeme, Prüfmethoden, Laborausrüstung, Laborinfrastruktur und zentraler Laborschnittstellen
• Förderung einer starken Kultur der Compliance, Verantwortlichkeit, Sicherheit und kontinuierlichen Verbesserung
• Unterstützung einer leistungsstarken und engagierten QC-Organisation, die zur Standortzuverlässigkeit und zum Geschäftserfolg beiträgt

Anforderungen:

• Hochschulabschluss in Naturwissenschaften, Pharmazie, Chemie, Biotechnologie oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet
• Umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Qualitätskontrolle innerhalb eines regulierten pharmazeutischen Umfelds
• Nachgewiesene Führungserfahrung mit großen Teams und Budgetverantwortung
• Fundierte GMP-Kenntnisse und tiefes Verständnis von Qualitätssystemen, Audits und regulatorischen Erwartungen
• Erfahrung mit Abweichungen, CAPAs, Änderungsmanagement und Inspektionsbereitschaft
• Fähigkeit, Teams auf strukturierte und kooperative Weise zu führen, zu motivieren und weiterzuentwickeln
• Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Deutsch und Englisch
• Qualifikationen, die erforderlich sind, um als Kontrolllaborleiter gem. TAMBO zu fungieren
• Belastbarkeit, Eigenmotivation, Verantwortungsbewusstsein und lösungsorientierter Arbeitsstil
• Erfahrung mit US-FDA-Inspektionen oder in der Veterinärpharma, analytischer Modernisierung oder Labortransformation von Vorteil

Our site in 1210 Vienna is a strategic location for solid dosage forms such as tablets, film-coated tablets, granules, and implants for the protection and treatment of livestock and companion animals. Head of Quality Control (m/f/d)

The Head of Quality Control reports directly to the Quality Head and is responsible for a department of approximately 70 employees and an annual budget of around EUR 7 million, as well as a project budget of around EUR 1.5–2 million.

Scope of responsibilities:

• Lead and further develop the QC department, including workforce planning, team leadership, coaching, and training
• Ensure the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of quality systems and regulatory requirements in the QC laboratory
• Qualification to act as a control laboratory manager in accordance with TAMBO (Tier-Arzneimittelbetriebsordnung) and support compliance with applicable Austrian veterinary pharmaceutical requirements
• Oversee the tracking and closure of deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and other quality-related actions
• Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external inquiries, audits, and inspections
• Support budget and investment planning for the quality unit in collaboration with the Site Quality Head
• Drive continuous improvement of analytical systems, test methods, laboratory equipment, laboratory infrastructure, and key laboratory interfaces
• Promote a strong culture of compliance, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
• Support a high-performing and engaged QC organization that contributes to site reliability and business success

Requirements:

• University degree in natural sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, or a related field
• Extensive experience in quality control within a regulated pharmaceutical environment
• Proven leadership experience with large teams and budget responsibility
• Sound GMP knowledge and a deep understanding of quality systems, audits, and regulatory expectations
• Experience with deviations, CAPAs, change management, and inspection readiness
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a structured and collaborative manner
• Strong communication skills in German and English
• Qualifications required to serve as a control laboratory manager pursuant to TAMBO
• Resilience, self-motivation, sense of responsibility, and a solution-oriented working style
• Experience with US FDA inspections or in veterinary pharma, analytical modernization, or laboratory transformation is an advantage
