Join Roche, where every voice matters.</p><h3></h3><p></p><h3>The Position</h3><p><span><span>At Roche, we are driven to innovate and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come</span></span><span>. </span><span><span>As a </span><b><span>Legal &amp; Compliance Manager</span></b><span>, you will shape opportunities and navigate risks for our business, patients, and society by providing effective legal and compliance services</span></span><span>. </span><span><span>You will act as a key business partner for our Pharma &amp; Diag division, ensuring our ambitions align with the highest ethical standards</span></span><span>.</span></p><p></p><p><b>The Opportunity:</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Legal counsel</b>: Provide effective legal advice on business issues for Pharma, including, but not limited to, commercial policy; data and digital projects; interactions with HCOs, HCPs, and patient groups; clinical studies, compassionate use, and post-trial agreements; patient solutions; PHC and real-world evidence initiatives; data privacy; competition law; administrative law; agreements/tenders; partnerships with external stakeholders; customer-facing roles; and interactions with government institutions and officials.<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Contract Management</b>: Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing agreements, amendments, and termination agreements, including, but not limited to, clinical studies, HCPs, confidentiality agreements, agreements with key suppliers, distribution agreements, IT agreements, and general commercial agreements.<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Corporate issues</b>: Handling corporate matters, including but not limited to, shareholders&#39; meetings, board of directors meetings, appointment of directors, granting powers of attorney, corporate capital increases, issuance of shares, by-law amendments, mergers, spin-offs, and foreign shareholders.<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Litigation</b>: Managing legal strategy for complaints from private parties, governmental agencies, or other third parties, including those from Customs, the National Antitrust Commission (CNDC), ANMAT, and data privacy authorities (AAIP). Coordinate litigation efforts with external counsels, settle disputes, and respond to information requests from courts and public agencies.<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Intellectual property</b>: Overseeing patent and trademark registrations and assisting Basel’s Patent and Trademark Department. Taking legal action to protect Roche products from illegitimate duplication. Advising on digital and IT projects.<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Compliance program</b>: Acting as deputy to the LCO and Healthcare Compliance Officer for Pharma matters. Support and execute local compliance initiatives, including training, processes, policies, standard operating procedures, communication, and monitoring, with a focus on anti-bribery, antitrust, and healthcare compliance in areas such as event management, grants, sponsorships, donations, fair market value assessments, and third-party due diligence.<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Compliance incident management</b>: Supporting the Compliance Officer in investigating, reporting, and managing compliance incidents (e.g., breaches of the Code of Conduct and speak-up cases) for the Pharma &amp; Diag business.<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Risk &amp; Opportunities management</b>: Supporting the assessment and management of risks and opportunities in the Pharma division, including Roche behavior in business questionnaire assessments, CMS, and focused monitoring on Pharma business activities.<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Data Privacy</b>: Supporting all Pharma-related data privacy initiatives, such as Real World Data and Data &amp; Digital projects, ensuring &#34;privacy by design&#34; and &#34;privacy by default.&#34; Responsible for registering personal databases with the Public Information Access Agency (AAIP), implementing privacy policies, informed consents, and data transfer agreements (DTAs), and remaining compliant with local privacy laws and regulations. Acting as Local Data Privacy Liaison (DPL) for the Pharma business and as the backup Data Protection Coordinator (DPC) to ensure business continuity and address privacy-related issues, data subject requests, and personal data breaches.<br />​</p></li><li><p><b>Representation</b>: Participating in various committees under CAEMe (Argentine Pharmaceutical Industry Chamber).<br /> </p></li><li><p><b>Transformation</b>: Promoting collaboration, teamwork, and agile ways of working. Actively contributing to global legal and compliance Pharma networks through communities of practice and innovation-focused initiatives. Maintaining a strong customer-centric approach in Pharma.</p></li></ul><div></div><p></p><p></p><p><span><b><span>Who you are</span></b><span> </span></span></p><ul><li><p><span>A bachelor&#39;s degree in Law is essential for the position. <span>A Master’s degree in Business Law or specializations in data privacy, digital law, or anti-bribery is a plus</span></span><span>.</span></p></li><li><p><span>5 to 10 years of experience in legal or compliance roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated industries.</span> <b>Knowledge &amp; experience in the Health Industry is a must</b></p></li><li><p><b>Legal Problem-Solving</b>: Ability to interpret complex laws and regulations and provide support to various business areas.</p></li><li><p><span><span>You possess 100% fluency in English, both written and spoken</span></span><span>.</span></p></li><li><p><span><span>You have a proven track record in implementing compliance programs, internal controls, and risk management</span></span><span>.</span></p></li><li><p><span><span>You are a proactive decision-maker with strong commercial acumen and high ethical standards</span></span><span>.</span></p></li><li><p><span><span>You excel at collaborative teamwork and have a sound, practical business judgment</span></span><span>.</span><br /> </p></li></ul><div></div><p><span>The position will be based in Buenos Aires, reporting to the Head of Legal at Roche Argentina.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b> </b></p><p><b> </b></p><p></p><h3>Who we are</h3><p style="text-align:left">A healthier future drives us to innovate.
