Together, we bring MORE change to the world.</p><p><br />Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.</p><p></p><p>The Lead Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring incoming materials meet Cepheid’s Incoming Inspection requirements utilizing established inspection and test methods to maintain established quality objectives and goals. <br /><br />This position reports to the Director, Supplier Quality and is part of the US Global Quality Operations located in Lodi, CA and will be an on-site role.</p><p></p><p><b><span>In this role, you will have the opportunity to:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Perform Lead duties overseeing overall inspection process including assigning day to day tasks and activities to inspectors, ensure inspectors are trained, and maintain compliance to released documentation</p></li><li><p>Perform inspection on high precision machined parts, injection molded parts, sheet metal, cable assemblies, PC Boards Assemblies and packaging materials to determine compliance with specifications.</p></li><li><p>Drive and support the development or improvement of inspection methods introduced by R&D and the Engineering groups including working with suppliers. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>The essential requirements of the job include:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>High School degree (or equivalent experience) and m</span><span>inimum of 8 years of experience in QC Inspection role</span></p></li><li><p>Understands GD&T terminology, MSA, mechanical drawings and working knowledge of inspection sampling plans</p></li><li><p>Basic understanding of Control Charts and other SPC tools that will be used to track and trend performance and strong Computer knowledge with ability to use basic functions in Excel, Word, and Outlook</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Develop and write Validation protocols to ISO 13485 standards</span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>MicroVu/CMM</span></span></span><span> Experience</span></p></li><li><p><span>Initiate and release Document Change Orders and d</span>raft procedures assisting with validating or troubleshooting testing methods.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
