Job Description Summary

This role is in the US Engineering organization within the Program Management Office team. The Lead Program Integrator is responsible for leading cross-functional projects through program planning and execution to deliver new products and design changes. Individual works with the program teams to ensure that the necessary skills and resources are effectively applied and delivering to plan.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Program Manager, ensures that multi-functional projects integrate properly within the product/program. Optimize team performance across the program value chain, functionally and technically.
  • Ability to proactively manage cross-functional interdependencies to maximize team efficiency and avoid gaps/delays in mid to long-term execution.
  • Anticipate integration issues and discern appropriate actions to progress the team forward.
  • Connects planning and cross-functional impacts of product NPI (New Product Introduction), Installed Base (Sustaining Engineering), VCP (Variable Cost Productivity), Obsolescence and End-of Life.
  • Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
  • Communicates across direct organization. Presents to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.
  • Connects the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering and 4+ years relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of more progressive responsibility and experience as an engineer or scientist
  • 4+ years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development or research environment, including previous leadership of a global and/or virtual team.
  • Demonstrated ability to build lasting cross-functional relationships, including strong influential and communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding/ experience with the New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle and cross-functional interdependencies

Characteristics:

  • Masters Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • Demonstrated applied 6 Sigma competency
  • Demonstrated experience with NPI ISO and regulatory compliance process, design history file and collaterals are in place and current
  • Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
  • Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating and driving closure of a product/program
  • Knowledge of GE Healthcare engineering tools and processes (MyWorkshop, PPM/Clarity)
  • Attention to detail and ability work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments
  • Ability to develop unique concepts/solutions for complex products
