In addition, this role will complete complex electrical testing of products during the manufacturing process based on established testing procedures.</p><p></p><p><b><span>What a typical day looks like:</span></b></p><ul><li>Oversees the work of assigned team employees.</li><li>Addresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers more serious cases to the supervisor.</li><li>Assists with the planning and preparation of training for new team members.</li><li>Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience.</li><li>Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments</li><li>Partners with supervisor or engineering manager to resolve any issues that arise within department.</li><li>Monitors testing status daily; gathers feedback from all test technicians.</li><li>Follow AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams to perform testing of main electrical distribution AC/DC systems for power distribution control houses and panels.</li><li>Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient and timely execution of required testing work</li><li>Be able to troubleshoot assembly, wiring and testing problems</li><li>Performs full functional testing on various circuits including HVAC system, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery system, and meggering of cables.</li><li>Perform complete testing including current/voltage injections, Hi-Potential Testing, I/O checks and circuit breaker simulation testing on Relay Panels and Switchgear.</li><li>Perform Factory Acceptance Testing with customer as required.</li><li>Perform customer site visits to troubleshoot and resolve any field issues that may arise.</li><li>Drafts detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommends modifications needed to correct production problems</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p><b>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</b></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
