DESCRIPTION:
Join our facilities team as a Lead Building Maintenance Technician! In this role, you'll ensure the reliable operation of facilities while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities across multiple building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Working in a GMP environment, you'll troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, and maintain documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. This position offers opportunities to contribute to facility improvements and support operational excellence through effective solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance within regulated industrial environments in a distribution environment with extensive knowledge of conveyor systems, electrical test equipment, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, scan optics, pneumatics, fire sprinkler systems, OSHA regulations, regulatory/DOT and BMS
• CFC/EPA Universal Certification preferred
• Current boiler operator license or ability to obtain within 1 year where required
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Strong troubleshooting skills for facility equipment and utility systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and technical documentation
• Experience coordinating contractors and managing small projects
• Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and safety protocols preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Available for on-call rotation and emergency response
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various environmental conditions
• Valid driver's license required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational. Problem-solving and time management abilities
• Experience with building security and monitoring systems a plus
• Responsible for building security, safety, reviewing facilities to maintain compliance to government regulations and OSHA requirements safety regulations strictly adhering to all codes and standards
• Oversees building and grounds maintenance including collecting and negotiating bids for facility projects, coordinating projects to fit the business needs and oversees the quality of work performed by external contractor/vendor services
• Serves as a liaison with corporate engineering, local fire and police and other town officials as needed
• Establishes and oversees Lock Out/Tag Out programs, Hot Work permits, confined space entry programs, facility emergency response plans and other required safety programs
• Issues and maintains security access cards and keys to the appropriate levels of employees for the facility
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and work orders
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Minimum Education Required: HS Diploma / GED - higher education or tech school education preferred.
• Certification in workplace hazardous materials and hazardous waste management preferred
• Have or be willing to obtain a forklift certification and have prior experience operating a powered industrial truck, preferably cherry picker and stand-up forklifts
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Colorado is $25.58–$38.37.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
