Our thoughtful lab solutions make it faster and easier for customers to focus on what matters most – delivering answers and innovations that save and improve lives.</p><p></p><p><b>Location: </b></p><p>This is a Field Sales position Covering the major metropolitan areas in Virgina and some accounts in DC. Residency near the territory is required. No relocation assistance provided.</p><p></p><p><b>How You Will Contribute:</b></p><ul><li><p>Achieve assigned territory revenue goals through purposefully pursuing sales opportunities with current and potential customers</p></li><li><p>Develop a robust sales pipeline and proactively develop strong customer relationships</p></li><li><p>Collaborate and train our channel partners to develop and close sales opportunities</p></li><li><p>Seek and promote new business potential through offering Thermo Fisher Scientific’s broad product portfolio and engage all appropriate colleagues to achieve maximum results for the company in total.</p></li><li><p>Participate in assigned corporate and focus account initiatives.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>How will you get here?<br />Education</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor&#39;s Degree required, preferably within Life Sciences, STEM, or Business Experience</p></li><li><p>At least 3 years of highly successful laboratory sales experience, or product management experience required. 5&#43; years, preferred</p></li><li><p>Must have an outstanding understanding of our markets and be knowledgeable of diverse laboratory product applications.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Selling Agility</b> - Handles the Sales Strategy, Identifies and Qualifies Opportunities, Created Innovative Solutions, Closes the Business</p></li><li><p><b>Know the Customer</b> - Understands the Market, Discovers Needs, Articulates Value, Supports the Customer</p></li><li><p><b>Self-Leadership</b> - Builds Relationships, Drives for Results, Maximizes Time, Makes Ethical Decisions</p></li><li><p><b>Technical Knowledge</b> - Knows the Products, Uses Technology, Applies Business Process</p></li><li><p><b>Required travel</b> ~50% - 75% of the time</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Benefits</b><br />This position is also eligible to receive variable compensation on individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
